I have been in practice for 25 years. During that time I have treated thousands of clients with High Blood Pressure, Elevated Cholesterol and Diabetes as well as Depression and Anxiety and Painful Conditions. Like most physicians I would briefly recommend diet and exercise and then prescribe medication. Most of the time one medication was not enough and their conditions usually worsened over time.
Now I offer a different approach. I emphasize the lifestyle changes that actually get to the root of these problems.
I personally have been adjusting my lifestyle. I still take medications when my doctors prescribe them but through my Eating Habits, some moderate Activity and practicing Mindfulness I am decreasing rather than increasing medications. I lost 40 pounds, improved my Blood Pressure, corrected my Cholesterol and most importantly improved my Pain and Mood.

Dr. Courtney Scott is our medical director/doctor here at Genesis New Beginning Inc. Dr. Scott has obtained a Bachelor of Science in biology, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a master’s in Business Administration, and of course a degree as a Doctor of Medicine.
Dr. Scott is an award-winning physician & surgeon. Smita Tandon, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician based in Fountain Valley, California, where she is the medical director of her own practice. Dr. Tandon is deeply passionate about helping children and has more than 30 years of experience in the field of pediatrics.
A native of India, Dr. Tandon earned her doctorate in medicine from Grant Medical College in Mumbai before starting her residency at King George’s Medical College in Lucknow. Mariam completed her undergraduate studies at California Polytechnic University, Pomona, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then completed the Physician Assistant Studies (MPAP) program at The University of California's Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles, earning her master's degree.
Mariam is trained in dermatology with a focus on early skin cancer detection and prevention. She continued her training in dermatology by completing the SDPA Diplomate Fellowship and becoming an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
