Colleen Abell is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with aMaster of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University in 2006. She has practiced as a nurse practitioner for the past sixteen years. Ms. Abell's experience includes working in a family medical clinic, but she spent most of her career providing care for patients recovering from Bariatric and GI surgical/oncology procedures. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Ms. Abell worked as a Registered Nurse in cardiology and emergency medicine.
Colleen joined the Gastro Center of Maryland in 2021 after relocating from the NY/NJ area. She is dedicated to being a great provider and advocate for her patients. Outside of work, Ms. Abell enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys.

Laverne Watts has over 14 years’ experience in nursing working in various hospital settings, clinics, physician offices, and skilled nursing facilities. Her experience spans from medical-surgical , post-operative care, gastroenterology, primary care and more. Ms. Watts obtained her associates degree in nursing at Goodwin College in East Hartford, Connecticut, then her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Central Connecticut State University, New Britain, Connecticut. She has a passion for meeting the care needs of her patients through education and clinical expertise, and later completed her Master of Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner at the American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. Ms. Watts has a special interest in Gastroesophageal reflux disease, weight management and chronic disease management. She believes in making a difference in patient lives by showing respect and dignity in decision making and helping her patients live their healthiest lives.

Lindsay Zilling is a doctoral student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, D.C. training under Dr. Brosius in psychological assessment. She can offer psychological and psychoeducational testing under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Debra Brosius, Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
Ms. Zilling earned a Master of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University while working as a Mental Health Specialist at behavioral health hospital Kahi Mohala - Sutter Health. Prior to that, she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician providing comprehensive services to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.
Her clinical interests are in integrative interventions in the treatment of complex trauma and PTSD, particularly with survivors of interpersonal trauma and military populations.
Ms. Zilling currently teaches various psychology courses as an adjunct professor at Northern Virginia Community College where she enjoys sharing her passion for psychology with her students.
Jenn Jafari is a doctoral student at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP) in ‘Washington, DC training under Dr. Debra Brosius, Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She will be focusing on providing therapeutic services, but can also offer psychological and psychoeducational testing under Dr. Brosius' supervision.
Jenn graduated with distinction from Loyola University Maryland, before receiving a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from TCSPP in Washington, DC. Jenn has expansive clinical experiences as an ABA therapist, working with children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disorders. Additionally, she has worked under doctoral supervision at Children’s National Hospital, providing clinical assessments for young children.
Jenn is eager to begin serving clients that are coping with a variety of life circumstances, with a focus on children and adolescents. Because Jenn is a graduate student in training, she is on site Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
