Dr. Sultan obtained his medical degree at the University of Tishreen and completed a 4-year residency program in internal medicine at the University of Damascus in Syria before moving to the United States. He completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. After residency, he joined Cleveland Clinic Foundation as an attending physician. During his time at Cleveland Clinic, he served as assistant professor of medicine at Cleveland Clinic Learner College of Medicine, where he was involved in teaching and supervising the residents of the internal medicine residency program.
