Lauren D. Weaver, M.D. is a board-certified child neurologist at THINK Neurology for Kids in Katy, Texas. With additional training in epilepsy, Dr. Weaver specializes in interpreting EEGs (brain wave studies) in children with known or suspected seizures and collaborates with the other providers at THINK Neurology for Kids to manage and treat childhood epilepsy.
Dr. Weaver completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, followed by a combined residency training in pediatrics and child neurology at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She later moved up to New York City for a fellowship in pediatric epilepsy at Columbia University. She has research experience in the study of malformations of cortical development and genetic epilepsies.
Originally from Austin, Texas, Dr. Weaver currently resides in Houston, Texas, with her husband and son. Prior to joining the THINK Neurology for Kids team in 2019, she was an assistant professor of neurology in the Departments of Child Neurology and Pediatric Epilepsy at Columbia University. Irfan Lalani, MD, PA, is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and board certified in pain medicine by both the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is currently in private practice in Sugar Land, Texas.
Dr. Lalani graduated as a valedictorian from the Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He then completed his residency in neurology at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Called to active duty, he served in the United States Air Force for 10 years. Assigned to a aerospace research he served an operational assignment before returning to training. Dr. Rotenberg completed a full 3 year general pediatrics residency at Wright Patterson AFB and Dayton Children’s Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
Serving in the military, Dr Rotenberg was trained to offer advanced diagnostics and treatment typically reserved for advanced fellows. Dr Rotenberg completed a fellowship in child and adolescent neurology at the Uniformed University of the Health Sciences, Walter Reed AMC, Bethesda National Naval Medical Center, and the NIH. Dr Rotenberg completed pediatric rotations at Children's National Medical Center, Johns Hopkins and Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Applying his advanced training in vagal nerve stimulation, ketogenic diet, video eeg, sleep and in chemodenervation, Dr Rotenberg served as the Chief of Pediatric neurology at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. Dr. Rotenberg helped to initiate the regional brain cooling program for babies suffering low oxygen at birth.
Triple board-certified, Dr. Rotenberg provides comprehensive neurologic diagnostics and therapeutics. He is an active advocate for children and families with neurologic illness. Understanding the shortage of epileptologists and the difficulties of travel, Dr Rotenberg has pioneered telemedicine services.
Dr. Rotenberg opened Academy Diagnostics Sleep & EEG Center with his San Antonio partner in 2007. Academy Diagnostics holds the gold-standard of quality with accreditation by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr Rotenberg holds a volunteer appointment assistant clinical professor of pediatric neurology at the University of Texas at Houston. Dr. Rotenberg is married with four children and enjoys photography, dogs, scouting, travel, and gardening.
