Following completion of his residencies, Dr. Pawar completed Fellowships in Vascular Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania, Endovascular Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology at Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania, and Advanced Vascular Neurology at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is coming to us from Duke University Medical Center where he served as Stroke Medical Director. He is widely published. He has varied interests and has participated in multiple clinical trials.

Sussel Vega Pupo, APRN began her career in medicine as an LPN before going on to receive her BSN. As a RN she worked as a charge nurse in the neuro intensive care unit as well as a critical care nurse before receiving her MSN from Florida National University. Dr. Quinones Herrero specializes in Neuroimmunology/Multiple Sclerosis. After receiving her medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico she went on to complete her residency in Neurology at Augusta University Medical Center in Georgia where she was chief resident.
Upon completion of residency, Dr. Quinones Herrero went on to Fellowship in Clinical Multiple Sclerosis at the Rhode Island Hospital and Women Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Allan Herskowitz, MD is a board-certified neurologist who practices general neurology at The Neurology Group, a renowned neurological practice in Miami. With 50 years of medical experience, Dr. Herskowitz provides a complete range of services for patients with neurological disorders. His specialties are sports medicine and Botox® therapy.
Dr. Herskowitz currently serves as medical director and team physician for the Miami Heat NBA basketball team, a position he’s held since 1988. He’s also the medical director of the Neuromuscular Treatment Institute, and an Associate Professor of Neurology at Florida International University Medical School. Dr. Herskowitz is a founding member of the Neuroscience Department at Baptist Health Systems, and currently serves as the Chief of Neurology at Baptist Hospital of Miami. As a physician who specializes in diagnosing and treating patients with epilepsy, Dr. Pinzon has a deep interest in advancing research in his field. Throughout the years, he has continuously published neuroscience research papers in peer-reviewed journals, and his current research interest involves improving diagnostic techniques for use in general neurology and epilepsy. He currently serves as Director of the Epilepsy Program at the Baptist Hospital Neuroscience Center.
Dr. Pinzon received his medical degree from Rosario University in Bogota, Colombia, which included clerkships at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital.
His interest in electrophysiology and biotechnology led him to pursue engineering courses at Boston University and Harvard, where his work involved the development of electrophysiological techniques for assessment and treatment of spinal cord injury paradigms. He went on to complete his master’s and PhD degrees in biomedical engineering at the University of Miami.
After moving to New York City, Dr. Pinzon completed his internship at Jacobi Medical Center and his residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Montefiore Medical Center. He returned to Miami to complete a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology-epilepsy at Miami Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Pinzon is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at Florida International University Medical School; he also holds a second appointment in the School of Engineering. Miguel Melo-Bicchi, MD, is an experienced, exceptionally skilled adult neurologist serving patients in and around Miami, Florida. Currently practicing at The Neurology Group, Dr. Melo-Bicchi adds his expertise to a world-class, research-driven neurology practice.
Dr. Melo-Bicchi received his medical degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana School of Medicine in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Relocating to the United States, he completed his residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey.
Selected for a prestigious fellowship, Dr. Melo-Bicchi moved to the University of Maryland Medical Center to further his studies in epilepsy and electroencephalograms (EEGs). Finally, he moved to Florida to study Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology at the University of Miami. He has remained ever since.
