My eyes have done spectacularly since Dr. Gilbert skillfully removed two cataracts that had hampered my vision badly. The worst cataract had grown over a shingles scar. His removal of that and insertion of corrective lense made a noticeable improvement of my vision through that eye. Recovery was complication free, and I was able to have the other cataract removed with confidence. His optometrist did an excellent job did an excellent job prescribing my corrective lenses, and I have had no problems with the lense inserts through the year. In my book Dr Gilbert is skilled, caring, supportive, and answers questions. The staff has been very helpful, but yesterday was hard to reach by the phone when I had difficulty finding office. On both occasions when I saw Dr. Hsai, I was impressed by his professional manner as well as his medical knowledge and ability to explain medical terms, including the reasoning behind his advice. He immediately put me at ease and I would not hesitate to highly recommend him.
In addition, the medical assistants and staff were pleasant, competent, and efficient while completing the various measurements, imaging, and testing.
The office maintains a pleasant environment and there is minimal wait time prior to being escorted to an examination room.
