As a first-generation college graduate and a Hispanic American, Hard work, success, and humble beginnings, are the benchmark of my ideals. I attained my Master's degree from South University Tampa in 2018. I went back to school to be a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioner at the University of Miami in 2020 because of the dire need for more compassionate caregivers. I was destined to help fill in the gaps to healthcare disparities.
In 2013, I attained my Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a minor in psychology from Fairleigh Dickenson University in Teaneck, NJ.
Psychiatry and Psychology have always been my passion and my calling. After completing nursing school, I worked as a Registered Nurse in numerous hospital settings, such as Neurology, Orthopedic, and Maternity/Neonatal Care. Working in all those different settings, has allowed me to gain valuable clinical experience.
As a Nurse Practitioner, I have worked with patients of all ages.
“Dr. Lidia Gladney was different than previous psychiatrists that I've visited in that she asked good questions, listened intently and was obviously knowledgeable and compassionate to top it off! I'll be continuing with this practice for as long as they'll have me. They definitely care, as their name suggests!”
As a physician, I believe in honesty with my patients, so that they can make an informed decision. This is achieved by educating patients on Depression, and the risks, benefits and alternatives of treatment. I want my patients to feel empowered, because their symptoms leave them feeling powerless. One of my most important roles as a psychiatrist is to instill hope for my patients. Depression is treatable, and with TMS therapy, we have even more options for patients who have struggled. My job is to return patients back to functioning. This is how I would want to be treated, with honesty, dignity and compassion.
I specialize in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy for the treatment of various psychiatric disorders. TMS is FDA-approved for Depression and is a non-invasive, non-medication alternative to traditional treatments. SuccessTMS helps patients achieve remission from depression and return back to their best lives.
