Carla Minosh, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Behavioral Health And Psychotherapy and Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Advanced Pediatrics.

Carla earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from George Mason University. She worked at Virginia Hospital Center in the Cardiovascular ICU for nine years before obtaining her Master's to become a Nurse Practitioner.
She then trained under Advanced Pediatrics’s very own Dr. Schwartz in pediatrics and has now been with our practice for more than ten years.
Carla is board-certified in Family Medicine and carries additional certifications in providing mental health services to children and teenagers.
Her clinical interests encompass all aspects of pediatric care from newborn to adolescence, with an additional focus on behavior and mental health issues, anxiety, and attention disorders. She is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and hypnotherapy.
Carla lives in Falls Church, Virginia, with her husband. She has one daughter who, to even to her surprise, is already a young adult. Carla and her husband are avid antique collectors and are in the process of restoring a historic home in Danville, Virginia, to its previous glory.
Rachel is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Rachel’s vision for her approach to working with clients offers an applied integrative theoretical and holistic lens. Foundational theories informing Rachel’s approach to clinical work include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused approaches, and Compassion-focused. She has experience working with adults with substance use and mental health disorders at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Rachel will create a safe, nurturing, and nonjudgmental space for clients to process trauma and cope with life’s challenges. Rachel hopes to collaborate on ways to increase awareness of feelings, thoughts, and behaviors as it relates to mood disorders, relationship conflict, and overall well-being.

Madison Gee is a Licensed Masters Social Worker and provides psychotherapy to an array of clients. Madison’s obtained degrees are BSW and MSW, accompanied by her MSW license which has allowed her to gain expertise in both generalist practice social work as well as clinical social work. Thus, she specializes in many disorders such as trauma disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders with all age groups. Madison’s focus centers around implementing techniques all based in talk therapy to simply provide a guided safe space for her clients to process, explore, ventilate, and externalize their thoughts and emotions in a healthy manner. Jennifer is a Licensed Master of Social Work who earned her master’s degree in social work from University of Maryland, Baltimore. Jennifer works with clients across all age groups and is especially passionate about expanding her expertise in early childhood development. Her background includes experience in forensic social work, supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and providing care within inpatient settings. Jennifer’s therapeutic approach is flexible and collaborative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Therapy, and Group Therapy to best meet each client’s needs. She strives to create a safe, judgment-free environment where clients can explore their experiences while fostering autonomy, empowerment, and personal growth.
Linda Riad is a Licensed Masters Social Worker who earned their degree from The University of Maryland School of Social Work. Riad has worked with students ranging from kindergarten up to high school at various locations such as residential treatment centers and public school. Riad is a school-based therapist who loves to incorporate creativity and CBT intro their work. They enjoy a warm cup of coffee while crocheting in their free time. Riad has two cats who love to cuddle and play.
Kara is a Licensed Master Social Worker who graduated from Walden University with a Master’s in Social Work. Kara has work experience in school and clinical settings and experience in the field of crisis response. Kara completed her first internship at a nursing and rehabilitation facility in Philadelphia and her second at a mental health therapy office in Baltimore City. Kara primarily has experience working with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, and stress management.
As a therapist, Kara encourages her clients to reach their full potential using goal setting and management to accomplish their goals. Kara is here to help and equip her clients with skills, tools/techniques, and resources that can be used to assist them in their daily lives, as well as provide a place where they can be heard and listened to. Danny is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Maryland and a recent graduate of Loyola University Maryland. He has experience working with individuals across the lifespan and supporting a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, ADHD, and more. Danny takes an eclectic approach to therapy, with a primary focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while also incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy. He believes therapy is not only a space to address challenges, but also an opportunity to highlight strengths. Danny helps clients develop healthier thinking patterns, strengthen relationships, overcome obstacles, and build self-care into their daily routines. Outside of counseling, he enjoys working out at the gym, reading in coffee shops, watching the Ravens, and bartending on weekends.

Maria’s experience includes working with emotionally disabled children at Villa Maria Schools, and most recently clients of all ages and diagnoses at Affiliated Sante Group w/focus on crisis intervention and case management. Maria works with her clients to address various presenting issues including mood and anxiety disorders, and trauma. Jenny is dedicated to affirming care for the LGBTQ+ community and incorporates a social justice lens into her practice while continuing her own growth as a provider. She earned her MSW from the University of Maryland and her BA in Psychology from UMBC, with an arts background.
