Leah is a dedicated Radiologic Technologist with over 20 years of experience in the field of Radiology field and 10 years dedicated to MRI. She focuses on accuracy and precision when conducting MRI exams, while providing exceptional patient care. Outside of work, Leah enjoys creating and building things, working in her garden, and being in nature with her family.
Dr. Nieves was born and raised in Puerto Rico where she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. She proceeded to complete her Internal Medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital- Cornell in New York City, followed by a Gastroenterology fellowship at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Massachusetts. Dr. Nieves specializes in general gastroenterology and some of her interests include inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome.
Dr. Nieves is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and strives to develop and maintain good relationships with her patients. She loves spending her free time traveling and enjoying the outdoors with her husband and 2 children.
Allison Gentz, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist who holds a Master’s degree in Psychology. She was the first licensed psychotherapist to work at Ocean Psychiatry and brings over 10 years of experience in the field of Mental Health. Allison has expertise in working with people who have adult ADHD, autism, traumatic brain injury, phobias, hospice and end of life grief, first responder challenges, and adoption and foster care issues, to name a few. She uses evidenced based techniques (For example: CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, solution-focused and trauma focused therapy) to successfully facilitate individual and family therapy.
