Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Meggison completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts. Her first step in pursuing dentistry was to attend the University of Maryland Baltimore School of Dentistry. As one of the top-performing students, Dr. Meggison served as Vice President on the AGD executive board. Dr. Meggison graduated Magna Cum Laude and was ranked top 5 in her class then furthered her dental experience with a residency at the Washington DC Veteran Hospital.

A native Washingtonian, Dr. Morrison received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Maryland Dental School, graduating magna cum laude, in 1989. He received top honors in multiple dental specialties and was elected to three national honor societies. Dr. Morrison received the top designation of "Master" from the Academy of General Dentistry (M.A.G.D). This title is awarded to less than 1% of all general dentists nationwide, with Dr. Morrison as one of the youngest dentists to achieve such distinction. Dr Morrison comes from a strong family, dental tradition. He comes from a family of dentists where his dad served both in the Navy and as an esteemed DC dentist. His mother was a hygienist and his brother is a dentist in Ohio. Dr. Morrison is a father of seven children and this gift has strengthened his ability to work on patients of varying ages and abilities, from his youngest child to his mother. Additionally, Dr. Morrison is a mentor and guest lecturer at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Sumeen Maur, DMD, provides gentle yet effective dentistry services to patients at K Street Dental & Orthodontic Group in Washington, D.C. As a member of the highly-skilled team of providers, Dr. Maur is committed to helping each patient achieve their optimal oral health. 

Dr. Maur grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, where she attended Furman University, obtaining her undergraduate degree in economics. During her time there, Dr. Maur was introduced to the field of dentistry while volunteering at a free dental clinic. She then chose to shadow local dentists in order to discover more about the basics of dentistry and the importance of the patient-doctor relationship.

Her interest in dentistry led Dr. Maur to enroll at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine. Dr. Tavakkoli is married and has two daughters. He met his wife in Philadelphia, but Northern Virginia was her home and now his. Dr. Tavakkoli treasures his time with his family. He also enjoys playing soccer, tennis, reading and is an avid sports fan.

Dr. Kamran Tavakkoli earned a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2002. He also received training at the prestigious Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Studies, where he studied under a large faculty of senior practicing dentists from around the world. Dr. Tavakkoli is dedicated to the profession of dentistry and regularly pursues continuing education and is currently working on his postgraduate degree in aesthetic dentistry from the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Tavakkoli practices quality dental care as well as complex comprehensive care and stands by a commitment to serve individuals, families, active service members of all ages with dental healthcare that is second to none.
