Maria Scouros, MD, founded the Houston Cancer Institute, PA, which has three locations in Houston and another in Katy, Texas, in 1984. She is certified by the American Board of Medical Oncology, with an international reputation for practicing state-of-the-art medicine with a commitment to excellence. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Texas Medical Association and Harris County Medical Society, and MD Anderson Alumni.
Dr. Scouros received her training in medical oncology at M.D. AndersonCancer Center, Houston, Texas, after completing her medical training at the Royal Free Hospital Medical School in London, UK and her internal medicine training at Evangelismos Hospital, Athens, Greece.

Dr. Mukesh Sinha is a native Houstonian and completed his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University in 2000. He is a 2004 graduate of The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX. After his graduation, he relocated to Rochester, Minnesota, where he received his training in Internal Medicine at the internationally renowned Mayo Clinic. He remained at Mayo Clinic to complete his fellowship in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. During his fellowship he published several manuscripts and was appointed as Instructor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine. He was honored with the Clinical Fellow of the Year Award for academic year 2009-2010. He joined Renal Clinic of Houston in 2010.

Born in Houston and raised in Caldwell, Dr. Norman is a native Texan. Dr. Norman earned his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia. He went on to complete his internship and internal medicine residency at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Mississippi, where he served as chief resident. The research experience has trained her to always approach an issue with systematic assessment and critical thinking.
During her research years, Dr. Sun-Wright realized she enjoyed helping people so she later obtained her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Dallas before moving to the Houston area so she could be closer to her loving and extended family.
Her awards include “Top Doctors” in Houston for multiple years, and she was also named in the Who’s Who in Primary Care in the US in 2018. She served as a representative to Texas Medical Association early in her career and recently as a medical director for a national health care organization.
