Maria Scouros, MD, founded the Houston Cancer Institute, PA, which has three locations in Houston and another in Katy, Texas, in 1984. She is certified by the American Board of Medical Oncology, with an international reputation for practicing state-of-the-art medicine with a commitment to excellence. Dr. Scouros has brought new advances in cancer therapy to the Houston community she serves. Andrew Martin, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Southern Secrets Med Spa and Clinic in Conroe, Texas. He takes a integrative approach to healing that avoids overreliance on pharmaceuticals.

Andrew earned an associate’s degree at the Lower Columbia College, College of Nursing in Longview, Washington, before completing his Bachelor of Science in nursing with honors at the University of Texas College of Nursing in Arlington. He fulfilled a master’s degree and post-graduate program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston to earn the family nurse practitioner credentials and certification in emergency and trauma.

Kenechukwu "Kene" Enekebe, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Memorial Springs ER, providing urgent care to people of all ages in Spring, Texas, and the communities of Spring, Klein, Tomball, and The Woodlands.

Dr. Enekebe studied at the University of Maryland, College Park, earning his undergraduate degree in physiology and neurobiology. He then enrolled at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC) in Cupecoy, Sint Maarten, and obtained his medical degree.

Amie Sun-Wright, MD, PhD, CCD, has been practicing medicine since 2008 in North Houston. She is proud to serve patients at New Wave Physicians Group in Spring, Texas.

Dr. Sun-Wright studied at the University of Texas in San Antonio, where she earned her Master of Science and PhD in biochemistry. While serving as an assistant professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, she was involved in the development of using bacteriophage as a “natural killer” to bacteria in the human body. The research experience has trained her to always approach an issue with systematic assessment and critical thinking. 

During her research years, Dr. Sun-Wright realized she enjoyed helping people so she later obtained her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Dallas before moving to the Houston area so she could be closer to her loving and extended family. 

Her awards include “Top Doctors” in Houston for multiple years, and she was also named in the Who’s Who in Primary Care in the US in 2018. She served as a representative to Texas Medical Association early in her career and recently as a medical director for a national health care organization. 

Prior to her endeavors, Dr. Sun-Wright was an assistant instructor in the Department of Cellular and Structural Biology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. In addition to her role as an Internist, she is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist (CCD). A CCD is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies, a professional designation awarded to clinicians who meet specified knowledge.

Dr. Sun-Wright is a triathlon enthusiast and is fluent in English, Chinese, and medically conservant in Spanish. 

Tam Truong, MD, is an internal medicine physician at New Wave Physicians Group in Spring, Texas. He is dedicated to improving his patients’ lives through exemplary medical care with the Golden Rule of Medicine and aims to treat every patient with the respect, kindness, and love he would want his own family treated. Dr. Truong has 10 years of experience as a hospitalist dealing with acute illnesses in the hospital setting and has now transitioned to outpatient medicine with a focus on chronic illnesses and preventive care. He is excited to have joined Dr. Amie Sun-Wright, his medical school classmate of 2005 at New Wave Physicians Group in Spring, Texas, at the beginning of 2021. 

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Dr. Truong now resides in The Woodlands, Texas, with his spouse and three children. When he's not helping his patients, he is proud to be a Home Depot Weekend Warrior, but most of all, Dr. Truong loves traveling and spending time with his family.
