Sean Keeler, MD, FACOG, provides his expertise in perinatal medicine to women living in and around Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada, at Desert Perinatal Associates. Dr. Keeler is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. After graduating, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy and awarded a full scholarship through the Federal Health Professions Scholarship Program to attend CCP Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia. After obtaining his medical degree, Dr. Keeler completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
During his academic years, he received numerous teaching awards, including the Pennsylvania State University Hershey Medical Center Award for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching. Following his fellowship training, Dr. Keeler served four years active duty as a Lieutenant Commander at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth as the Division Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. After his activity duty was complete, Dr. Keeler was awarded the prestigious Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for distinguishing himself with meritorious service to our country.
Dr. Keeler has a strong interest in clinical research in preterm labor and cervical insufficiency. He has authored seventeen original manuscripts and two book chapters on the topic. He serves the community by supporting the March of Dimes and the Promise Walk for Preeclampsia. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Unforgettables Foundation of Southern Nevada.
He’s married and has extra compassion for his patients, as two of his three daughters were born of high-risk pregnancies. He enjoys golfing, exercising, and enjoying good meals with his friends.

They decided to move west after she finished residency, and Las Vegas was the perfect match for them! She was employed by a group practice for four years, and started her own practice, New Beginnings OB-GYN, in January 2013. Rebecca Tyre, MD has been practicing in the Las Vegas and Henderson areas since 1994 after completing her residency training in OB/GYN at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She earned her medical degree in 1990 from the University of Nevada School of Medicine and became board certified in OB/GYN in 1996. Dr. Tyre and her husband have two daughters and she enjoys CrossFit, music, traveling, hiking and reading as well as spending time with her family.
Guy A. Torres earned his medical degree in 1987 from the University of Kansas College of Health Sciences and Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas and completed his residency in OB/GYN at St. Joseph Hospital/ Creighton University Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Torres has been practicing in the Las Vegas and Henderson areas since 1991 and founded Green Valley OB/GYN in 1998. He specializes in laporoscopic surgeries. Dr. Torres has four sons and loves being a devoted husband and father. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, rock concerts, and is an outdoor enthusiast.
Mary Khine, MD, FACOG, is a perinatologist at Desert Perinatal Associates in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. Dr. Khine is one of the newest members to join the DPA family, and she is looking forward to building new relationships with families in the community.
Dr. Khine is originally from New Jersey but she relocated to Nevada. She has decades of experience in providing care to families of all backgrounds and holds board certifications in maternal-fetal medicine, obstetrics, and gynecology.
For her medical education, she attended Jefferson Medical College. Following her studies, she went on to complete her obstetrics residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she was awarded a fellowship with Yale University.
While Dr. Khine was residing in New Jersey, she worked for a large hospital that specialized in maternal-fetal medicine for many years. During her time there, she also served on several committees and was the medical director of ultrasound services.
At Desert Perinatal Associates, Dr. Khine takes great pride in caring for her patients and enjoys being a part of a very special time in a woman’s life. While being an exciting time, it’s also a nerve-wracking and anxious experience. Donald L. Roberts, MD, FACOG, has offered his expertise in perinatal care to women who have high-risk pregnancies for more than 20 years. He currently offers services at Desert Perinatal Associates with offices in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. Board-certified in both maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Roberts prides himself on offering excellent care so moms and babies achieve the best outcomes.
Dr. Roberts completed his bachelor of science degree at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. He earned his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine and practiced general obstetrics and gynecology in Las Vegas for two years before pursuing his passion in helping care for women with high-risk pregnancies. Dr. Roberts completed his fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of California San Diego where he was granted the resident teaching award.
Continuing with his award-winning teaching, Dr. Roberts gave lectures for medical students and residents during his time as Chairman of the OB/GYN Department at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and while serving as Chief of the Department of OB/GYN at UMC Hospital.
Dr. Roberts is active in research, lectures, and providing medical care to underserved areas of Las Vegas. He continues to teach residents and students as an assistant professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and Touro University.
Dr. Roberts is married to his wife, an OB/GYN, and has five wonderful children. He loves traveling, snow skiing, running, and time at the beach.
Maria Palmquist, MD, FACOG, is board certified in obstetrics, gynecology, maternal-fetal medicine, and clinical genetics and genomics. She is very passionate about her profession because of her patients. "What I enjoy most about being a physician is the relationships I have established with my patients, " explains Palmquist. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Pepperdine University and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he also performed post-graduate work in obstetrics and gynecology. Throughout his education, he received numerous awards and honors for academics and research.
Dr. Wilkes served as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Nevada and as an Instructor/Fellow in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He has been widely published in respected medical journals and regularly lectures nationally on perinatal topics.
Board-certified with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Dr. Wilkes also serves his community. He’s on the board of directors for two local foundations and donates his time and medical care to the women of Safe Nest and Shade Tree – local domestic violence shelters. Joseph Adashek, MD, FACOG, is rated by U.S. News & World Report as being among the top 1% of physicians in the nation practicing in the field of Perinatology. An award-winning and widely published physician, Dr. Adashek received his undergraduate degree from the University of California Los Angeles and his Doctor of Medicine from Penn State College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Northwestern University in Chicago and was awarded a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of California Irvine.
Dr. Adashek has served in many hospital leadership positions and is currently the Director of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center and Southern Hills Hospital.
