Board-certified pediatric dentist, Rosalie Nguyen, DMD, is driven by the philosophy that all children, including those with special needs, deserve excellent dental care that meets their personal needs. As the founder and chief dentist at Edgewater Pediatric Dentistry in Edgewater, New Jersey, Dr. Nguyen provides comprehensive oral health care services for infants, children, and adolescents alike.
After receiving her dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Dr. Nguyen completed her general practice residency at St. Joseph's Children Hospital and University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. She went on to complete another residency in pediatric dentistry at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York City, where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Nguyen then underwent extensive training at the Rose F. Dr. Padavathil (“Dr.Sybil”) is a transplant from the Sunshine State! She was born and raised in the Fort Lauderdale area and obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. After completing a residency in Brooklyn and working for one year as a general dentist, Dr. Sybil decided that her passion was working with children. She then went back into training to complete her two-year residency in pediatrics where she treated countless patients from all backgrounds and needs. Being a mom of two, Dr. Sybil strives to provide the highest quality of care that she would want for her own children. She is experienced with meeting the needs of patients who would be better treated with sedation services including General Anesthesia, IV sedation, or nitrous oxide.

Dr. Tontat, DMD ("Dr. Yasmin") is so excited to be joining Edgewater Pediatric Dentistry! She is passionate about oral health and helping families build meaningful relationships with their dental team. Originally from sunny southern California, Dr. Yasmin studied Psychobiology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania where she concurrently received her Masters of Public Health through the Perelman School of Medicine and completed a fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to expand her training on caring for children with different neurodevelopmental disabilities. Having fallen in love with the east coast, she then completed her pediatric residency at New York Presbyterian Kids/Columbia University Medical Center with special competence in caring for children with special healthcare needs and craniofacial conditions.
Dr. Yasmin is an active member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry. In her free time, you can find her cooking new recipes, running along the Hudson River, or exploring the city with her Australian Shepherd, Oso!
