Hi, I’m Dr Matt Pabis. I’m a board certified family medicine doctor trained in upstate New York where I learned how to do a lot on my own, and now I’m practicing back home in the city where I handle as much as I can in the office without sending you all over the city for needless referrals.
I was raised in New York City. I completed my residency in Schenectady NY. I started off working for a big corporate medical practice in Harlem, but found that it did not give me the time to really know my patients. It felt like an assembly line; 15 minutes to see one problem and move on. I didn’t want to practice medicine like that. I wanted to get to know my patients, and really understand them to make their lives and health better.
Then the opportunity to start a primary care practice in a pain management, orthopedic, and cosmetic practice presented itself and I jumped on it. I loved my time there, but it still did not feel quite like home. Even though there was a lot to learn and do, the variety of patients wasn’t there.
So I decided to move on and start my own primary care practice. I also took the position of a medical director of a psychiatric, and substance abuse clinic in the same building where my office is located.
I developed a practice where I work with my patients to help them be as healthy as they can be. I don’t push one medicine or another, I am always open to new ideas or new treatment plans, and every treatment plan is developed with you. If option 1 or option 2 don’t work for you, we can figure an option that does work.

Dr. Saltzman realized a calling to medicine during the height of the HIV/AIDS crisis in New York City in the mid-eighties. Prior to entering the field of medicine Dr. Saltzman worked in the music business for record companies and publishers. Moving in the NYC club scene of the nineties, Dr. Saltzman saw many of her friends and colleagues become ill with AIDS. She observed the rampant prejudice and stigma that LGBTQ people and IV drug users suffered, and committed herself to becoming a physician specializing in HIV/AIDS.
Despite not having a background in the sciences Dr. Saltzman was able to earn admission to medical school, while supporting herself as a single parent. After medical school, she chose to do her residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York City,whichwas at the forefront of providing specialized treatment for patients with HIV/AIDS. After completing her residency, she practiced at the Samuels Clinic at Roosevelt Hospital (now The Institute for Advanced Medicine at Mount Sinai), a major outpatient center for patients during the epidemic. While practicing at the Samuels Clinic, Dr. Saltzman was an early prescriber of the “triple cocktail”, the first effective combination therapy for HIV. Dr. Saltzman’s interest in addiction was born out of her experience providing care for HIV/AIDS patients who were often IV drug users. She was one of the first physicians in New York City to embrace the use of Suboxone, a novel medication for the treatment of opiate addiction, that allows patients to access treatment without daily clinic visits as is the case with methadone therapy. Suboxone was one of the first therapies approved for in-office prescribing under the federal Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000. By prescribing Suboxone on an outpatient basis Dr. Saltzman is able to help patients get back to their work and family, and functioning at a high level.

Dr Aziz retrained with the the American Academy of Anti-aging in Functional Medicine. Dr. Aziz authored "The Perfect 10 Diet." A diet that encourages full-fat products from butter to whole milk. It was in sharp contrast to the low-fat diet dogma. The Perfect 10 Diet was also different from both low-carb and keto diets as it didn't allow any chemicals such as nitrites or artifical sweeteners, not just sugar.
The Perfect 10 Diet helped thousands of his patients live better and improve their health. His patients dropped tons of weight, normalized their blood pressure, and improved their cholesterol naturally. He was compelled to get the message out to the masses in a book. The Perfect 10Diet which started in the office as pamphlets was now a book in the spotlight. in 2024 and after a long hiatus, Dr. Aziz authored his second book The Ageless Plan. It was the Covid-19 pandemic that showed him our vulnerability as a nation with higher deaths rates compared to other nations that weathered the pandemic better. Dr Aziz says "As Americans we are leaving two decades on the table that we can live in great health." The Ageless Plan is a book that promotes anti-aging, great health, and longevity through diet, lifestyle, supplements, medications, and peptides. The book has been picked by HCI publishing house and is due for release in early January 2025.
Dr Aziz is a prolific medical contributor to Life Extension Magazine. He has also been a contributor to The Boardroom Newsletters which reached over 7 million subscribers with health advice before the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Aziz's columns, articles, and opinions have been published in the LA Times, CNN, Washington Post, WebMD, NY Post, the Daily News, as well as in many magazines internationally such as Paris Match.
Dr. Aziz regularly provides medical commentary on many health networks, including NPR, Fox and Friends, ABC, WGN Chicago, NBC, Telemundo, and Dubai TV. Dr. Aziz is passionate about philanthropy.
