Carl Garbus, OD, is a seasoned neuro-optometric rehabilitation specialist who provides vision therapies and rehabilitative services to adults and children in Valencia, California. As part of the team at Family Vision Care Optometry, a part of the DeyeNAMICS Alliance, Dr. Garbus is dedicated to offering preventive care and the highest-quality treatments available.

Dr. Garbus graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1980. He opened two private practices in Valencia, Family Vision Care Optometry and Family Vision Care Optometry Neuro Vision Rehabilitation. Currently, the practices emphasize care for children and adults with vision deficits from traumatic brain injury, stroke, and developmental and learning problems.

Dr. Garbus has hospital privileges and consults at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, and Henry Mayo Hospital in Santa Clarita. DeAnn Fitzgerald, OD, is a dedicated eye care professional with over 30 years of experience in the eye care field. Dr. Fitzgerald is a trusted optometrist at Vision in Motion a part of the DeyeNAMICS Alliance, in Iowa.

A graduate of the College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon, her passion for helping people drives her practice. "The eyes are the windows to the body," she says, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive eye exams in diagnosing various health conditions.

Since relocating to Cedar Rapids in 1984, Dr. Fitzgerald has provided exceptional eye care services, focusing on thorough examinations, accurate diagnoses, and effective treatments for vision diseases and disorders. William V. Padula, OD, is a distinguished graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University of Health Sciences in Elkins Park. He provides expert and compassionate care to patients at Padula Institute of Visual Rehabilitation, a part of the DeyeNAMICS Alliance. The practice serves patients in Guildford, Connecticut.

Dr. Padula is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association International (NORA), and the National Academy of Practice. He completed a fellowship at the Gesell Institute, where he also served as Director of Vision Research.

He was the founding chairman of the Low Vision Section of the American Optometric Association and the inaugural president of NORA. His expertise led to his appointment as the National Consultant in Low Vision Services for the American Foundation for the Blind and a consultant to the Committee on Vision for the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC. Recently, he provided his expertise to Walter Reed Hospital.

An international authority, Dr. Padula founded the first low-vision clinic at the Zhongshan Eye Research Hospital in Guangzhou, China, named in his honor. Charles Shidlofsky, OD, is a neuro-developmental optometrist at Neuro-Vision Associates of North Texas, a part of the DeyeNAMICS Alliance. The practice is located in Plano, Texas.

Dr. Shidlofsky, known affectionately as Dr. S, is a highly respected optometrist based in the Dallas area. Born and raised in Lawrence, New York, he relocated to Texas at the age of 16. He completed his pre-optometry studies at the University of Texas at Austin in 1984, followed by his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1986 and 1988, respectively.

Dr. Benosa received her doctorate in optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California in 2013. During optometry school, she served as secretary of her class for three years and Vice President of the honors fraternity Beta Sigma Kappa and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. Dr. Benosa completed externships at Hoopes Vision in Utah, Veteran's Affairs Sierra Vista Community Based Outpatient Clinic, and the Naval Medical Center in San Diego.

After optometry school, Dr. Benosa furthered her education with a one year residency in Ocular Disease at the Braverman Eye Center in Florida. There she gained extensive experience in comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, managing ocular disease, and participating in refractive surgery co-management. 

Since residency, Dr. Benosa has returned to her hometown of Valencia. Dr. Benosa strives to use her experience, knowledge, and commitment to lifelong learning to deliver comprehensive eyecare for all patients. She focuses on preventative care like detecting disease in early stages and is glaucoma certified. Dr. Benosa enjoys working with children to identify vision problems early and offer intervention for amblyopia, strabismus, binocular vision conditions, and myopia management. Dr. Benosa also has an interest in fitting specialty contact lenses for patients with keratoconus as well as post-surgical or irregular corneas and has over 10 years experience of fitting soft, gas permeable and scleral lenses. Ayra Sayyed, OD, is a distinguished optometrist and a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston. She provides expert care to patients at Padula Institute of Visual Rehabilitation, a part of the DeyeNAMICS Alliance, in Guildford, Connecticut.

With a specialization in neuro-optometric rehabilitation, Dr. Sayyed completed the prestigious RJ Apell and C. Nelson Residency at the Padula Institute of Vision in Guilford, Connecticut, in 2020. Her dedication to advancing the field is evident through her presentations at prominent brain injury rehabilitation conferences and her involvement with the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association and the International Lyme and Associated Diseases conference.

In 2021, Dr. Sayyed earned her fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and is currently a candidate for the fellowship of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (FNORA).

Eyad H. Yehyawi, OD, has been a dedicated optometrist since 2004, bringing over 20 years of experience to his practice. He works at Vision in Motion a part of the DeyeNAMICS Alliance, in Iowa.

Growing up in southeast Iowa, he earned his Bachelor of Science from Quincy University in Illinois in 1999, where he majored in biology and minored in chemistry. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, followed by a residency in ocular disease at the St. Louis Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Missouri.

Dr. Yehyawi has also completed extensive clinical training in cities including St. Louis, Kansas City, Orlando, and Denver, enhancing his expertise in various areas of eye care. His diverse training equips him to provide comprehensive assessments and treatments for a wide range of ocular conditions.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Yehyawi enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children, engaging in sports, watching movies, and participating in outdoor activities. His passion for family and community reflects his holistic approach to patient care.

Eric T. Ikeda, OD, is an esteemed optometrist at Optometric Vision Care Associates, Inc., a part of the DeyeNAMICS Alliance. The practice serves patients in Bellflower, California.

Dr. Ikeda earned his Doctor of Optometry from Marshall B. Ketchum University, formerly Southern California College of Optometry, in Fullerton, California. He also holds a fellowship from the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. 

With a rich history of leadership, Dr. Ikeda is a past president of both the Optometric Extension Program Foundation and the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA). Dr. Ikeda played a pivotal role in establishing the Neurooptometry Clinic at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center and Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation. He currently serves as a vision rehabilitation consultant for several rehabilitation facilities, including NeuroRestorative and Centre for Neuro Skills, and is set to collaborate with the California Rehabilitation Institute.

An experienced educator, Dr. Ikeda has served as a clinical associate professor at Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry and is an active member of the American Optometric Association Vision Rehabilitation Committee.

Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, fishing, and golfing. Dr. Ikeda's extensive expertise and commitment to patient care make him a leading figure in optometric vision rehabilitation.

Dr. Scheinhorn received her Doctor of Medicine from Tulane University in New Orleans, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She was also cited by the American Medical Women’s Association for scholastic achievement. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at Louisiana State University Eye Center in New Orleans.

Dr. Scheinhorn served the community of Glendale, California for over 30 years. She was voted Best Ophthalmologist, Glendale in 2017 and 2018. She has also been honored for her dedication and support of Glendale Healthy Kids.

Julie B. Pearlman, MD, is a highly experienced and skilled ophthalmologist at North Shore Glaucoma Center & Eye Physicians. She provides care at their Libertyville, Illinois, office. Dr. Pearlman says working in ophthalmology runs in her family: her father and brother serve as board-certified physicians also practicing in Chicago.

A graduate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Pearlman completed her residency training at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. She now serves as a clinical instructor at Feinberg.

Dr. Brandon Chuang grew up in Irvine, CA before attending University of California San Diego. He graduated with a BS in Biology in 2013. He then earned his Doctorate of Optometry from New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA in 2018.

After graduation, he pursued a residency in ocular disease and primary care at the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital of Brockton, Massachusetts. At his residency, he worked closely with world renowned ophthalmologists, comanaging glaucoma, dry eye, uveitis, cataracts, and retinal diseases like macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. After finishing residency, Dr. Chuang returned to his alma mater as a professor, where he worked as faculty training future optometrists for 2 years before returning to Orange County.

Dr. Chuang has been described as a compassionate eyecare provider who is committed to high quality patient care. His specialty is glaucoma, but he considers himself a jack of all trades given his various clinical experiences. He also enjoys treating dry eye, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and fitting contact lenses. "It's important for me to be able to give the best level of care to all of my patients, so I stay up to date on all aspects of my clinical care and new technologies."

Dr. Bahorski completed her Bachelor of Science Degree at Michigan State University (where she was a member of the pre-optometry club) and received her doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 2000. Her extensive internships at the Detroit VA, Portsmouth Naval Base in New Hampshire, and Mid-Florida Eye Center provided her with advanced experience in managing ocular disease, contact lens fittings, and surgical co-management, working closely with both optometrists and ophthalmologists.

Dr. Bahorski is an expert in complex contact lens fittings, including multi-focal torics and myopia control soft lenses. She provides comprehensive treatment and management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, dry eyes, and allergies.

Zuhair Hanif Peracha, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Eye Surgeons Associates in Canton, Monroe, and Livonia, Michigan. He treats patients aged 10 and older and adults in Canton and Monroe for routine eye care needs as well as specialized treatments, including cataract surgery, retinal disease management, glaucoma, and diabetic eye treatment. Dr. Peracha graduated with honors from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond before completing medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Then, Dr. Peracha stayed in Detroit to finish an ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital before going on to fulfill a retina fellowship at the top-ranked Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, of the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine.

Leila Siblani graduated from the University of Windsor with a degree in Biological Sciences, and later went on to obtain her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2015. She completed her internships specializing in primary eye care, ocular disease and specialty contact lens wear at the John D Dingell VA medical center, Kresge Eye Institute of Detroit and the Illinois Eye Institute. She provides comprehensive eye care to patients aged 4 and older including diabetic eye care, management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, various eye infections, dry eye disease, a wide range of anterior segment disease and also assists with post-operative cataract care.

 Dr. Manal Peracha-Riyaz is the newest board certified ophthalmologist to join Eye Surgeons Associates. She graduated from the University of Michigan with high honors and then attended medical school at Wayne State University. She completed her ophthalmology residency and glaucoma fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.

Dr. Peracha-Riyaz provides the latest and most up to date treatments including advanced cataract surgery and medical and surgical care of glaucoma. Above all else, Dr. Peracha-Riyaz prides herself on providing the most compassionate care to each and every patient.

She recently relocated back to Michigan from Washington D.C., where she was named a Washingtonian Top Doctor. She is married with a young daughter and loves spending time with her family.
