Dr. Michael Birau received his Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from William M Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. He completed his residency in Podiatric medicine and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at the James A Haley VA hospital where he served as Chief resident his 3rd year.

Adam Redlich, MD, is board-certified and fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine, practicing at A+ Athlete Sports Medicine. With two office locations in Robbinsville (Mercer county) and Neptune (Monmouth), New Jersey, Dr. Redlich sees patients at both offices & brings with him over 20 years of experience in the field.
Dr. Redlich's passion is to maintain the small-town, local sports doctor approach for the region, which he has been doing since 2003 - even before he opened A+ Athlete Sports Medicine. He takes great pride in serving the community and surrounding area he calls home.
Dr. Redlich also trained under one of the non-operative sports medicine field’s founders at Rutgers/Jersey Shore University Medical Center - Sports Medicine Fellowship, Dr. Stephen Rice, in addition to leaders in the Sports Medicine & Regenerative Medicine and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound fields – Dr. Brian Shiple and Dr. Robert Monaco.
Education has always been of importance to Dr. Redlich. He trained at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Crozer Keystone Healthplex Sports Medicine Institute. During his family medicine residency at suburban Philadelphia's Crozer Keystone Health System, he acquired tremendous experience caring for athletes from local schools, weekend warriors doing marathons and triathlons, and higher level athletes at nearby Olympic Training Sites thru Healthplex Sports Medicine Institute. Dr. Redlich remains an adjunct faculty member and volunteer clinical instructor for Rutgers - RWJ Medical School – Family Medicine, RWJBarnabas Residency – Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, Hackensack Meridian Health – Jersey Shore University Medical Center / Ocean Medical Center – Pediatrics & Family Medicine, CentraState Medical Center – Family Medicine, Newark Beth Israel – Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine.

Dr. Redlich lives with his family within a few minutes of his office and was born and raised in Monmouth County. He himself enjoys being active having over the years been a coach, runner, marathoner, triathlete, golfer, weight-lifter, hiker, mountain & trail biker, cycling, spin, yoga, walker, and High Intensity Interval Training participant at various points in his life.
As one of South Florida’s leading sports medicine physicians, Moisés Irizarry-Román, MD, is an expert at diagnosing and treating the most complex types of sports and musculoskeletal injuries. To help athletes and active patients get the unique, comprehensive care they need, Dr. Irizarry-Román founded No Mercy Sports Medicine in Miami.
Dr. Irizarry-Román earned his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe, School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Afterward, he completed an internship at San Juan City Hospital, followed by a residency at the Hospital Universitario Dr. Ramon Ruiz Arnau, before relocating to the United States.
Because of his passion for sports medicine, Dr. Irizarry-Román then opted to go through a rigorous sports medicine fellowship at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine.
Throughout his career, Dr. Irizarry-Román has remained at the forefront of innovative sports medicine solutions. Before he entered private practice, Dr. Irizarry-Román served as the head of Mercy Hospital’s sports medicine department in Miami and has been a go-to practitioner for all levels of athletes.
Not only has Dr. Irizarry-Román written multiple articles for Box Life magazine, but he’s also a consultant for Univisión’s nightly news program, “Noticias Univisión Edición Nocturna,” as well as “Mira Quién Baila.” Dr. Irizarry-Román is also an expert witness for Telemundo's “Caso Cerrado.”
Since he’s active in the CrossFit® community, Dr. Irizarry-Román is affectionately nicknamed “The BoxDoc.” He’s covered multiple major CrossFit events, including Summer Crush Games and Clash of the Fittest. Dedicated to serving the sports medicine community, Dr. Irizarry-Román even works as a team sports physician for the Mississippi Braves minor league baseball team, the Dixie Rodeo, and the Puerto Rico Islanders professional soccer team, to name a few.

After filling a faculty position at Medstar Georgetown University as a musculoskeletal medicine specialist, he went on to complete an ACGME interventional pain fellowship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, under the guidance of internationally renowned pain physician Dr. Frank J.E. Board-certified in Family Medicine with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine, Andrea Pana, MD, has treated patients in various settings since 1994. Her expertise is in Sports Medicine and the care of Musculoskeletal Injuries. Dr. Pana sees patients throughout Austin and San Antonio, Texas, at Serenity Medical Centers.
After receiving her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from George Washington University, Dr. Pana completed a Family Medicine Residency at UCLA and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University. She also served as a physician in the United States Air Force.
Dr. Pana has treated athletes for every major college sport as well as professional and Olympic athletes. She served on the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine Board from 2008-2012.
Academically, Dr. Pana has been involved in educating physician assistants, medical students, residents, and athletic training students. She has several publications relating to concussions in athletes and has assisted in editing the 5 Minute Sports Medicine Consult. Dr. Pana has joined Serenity Medical Group to help care for patients with work-related injuries and active patients in the area with musculoskeletal or sports-related injuries.
In her free time, Dr. Pana enjoys swimming and walking. She also enjoys movies and exploring all the local family-friendly events with her 8-year-old son.

Many musculoskeletal and orthopedic injuries are often treated by methods such as physical/chiropractic therapy, cortisone injections or even surgery, however regenerative injections can help repair many injuries to the joints and spine. Dr. Thakral is passionate about diagnosing underlying causes and pain generators to specific orthopedic conditions and tailoring a treatment program that consists of non surgical interventions.

Keith Cummings, DO, CAQSM is a sports medicine physician specializing in nonsurgical treatment of orthopedic problems. He looks forward to serving the community of Boulder, Colorado, as part of the team at Breakthrough Regenerative Orthopedics.
Dr. Cummings partners with his patients to optimize biomechanics, utilize exercise-based treatments with physical and occupational therapy, and minimize medication use, in addition to performing image-guided procedures when necessary. He has worked with a variety of athletes from all competition levels, including the NBA, Olympic-level snow sports, division-one college athletics, and various high school sports. This experience enables him to provide treatment for active people of all skill levels and help them return to the activities they love.
He joins us after practicing for several years in the Seattle area, where he was voted a top doctor multiple times while working as the first nonsurgical physician at one of the area’s largest orthopedic groups.
Dr. Cummings was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, where he received his BS from Saint Martin’s University in Lacey, Washington. He received his doctorate from Western University of Health Sciences in Lebanon, Oregon.
He ventured to Salt Lake City for his residency and fellowship training in both physical medicine & rehabilitation (PM&R) and primary care sports medicine at the University of Utah. This time allowed him to not only grow in his love for the Mountain West, but also to receive advanced training in both musculoskeletal ultrasound and fluoroscopy for diagnostic and procedural purposes, as well as training in orthobiologic therapies such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
When he is not working, he loves spending time with his amazing wife and enjoying her company. He also enjoys hiking, resistance training, watching movies, and playing the electric guitar.
Dr. Cummings is thrilled to be back in the mountains, exploring all that Colorado has to offer.
