Since 2018, he has served Ohio communities, specializing in trauma, substance use, mood disorders, ADHD, and grief. Aharon uses evidence-based therapies including EMDR, DBT, and trauma-focused approaches to create personalized care plans. Known for his warm, nonjudgmental style, he fosters safe, supportive spaces for growth. He also mentors clinical staff and promotes best practices to improve client outcomes.

I decided to become a mental health counselor after almost a decade as an occupational therapist. I recognized that many of the comorbid conditions accompanying physical dysfunction also had a psychosocial component.

I received my Master’s degree in Counseling from Grace College and Theological Seminary. I have worked extensively in community mental health with adolescents, adults, and families covering a wide variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, marital issues, family conflict, addictions, and anger management. I have experience in leading groups focused on substance abuse education and helping both the offenders and victims of domestic violence. My preferred method of therapy is Adlerian, which focuses on rapport, encouragement, building perspective and insight, discovering meaning and purpose, and eventually reorientation. I place an importance on building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients and hopes to help each individual find their true meaning and purpose in life.

I have worked with many adults and children of all ages, including inmates and those involved in the prison system. When we work together, you get to decide what we work on. I’ll listen to your experiences and struggles and together we will create short-term and long-term goals to help you feel like yourself again. I like to focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) during our sessions.
