I am a Licensed Professional Counseling-Associate under the supervision of Dr. Richard Bishop, LMFT-S, LPC-S. My belief and the way I conduct therapy revolves around this simple truth. The past has already happened, and I cannot change it. I can reflect on it and see things that are affecting my present allowing for change through awareness. The future has not happened yet, and I have limited control of what is to come. What I can control is the choices I make that can lead to the desired outcome. By focusing on the “here and now” we create awareness and have the ability to take control of our own life. I enjoy working together with clients as a team to achieve the goals they have for themselves. I provide a judgment-free space where clients can explore all aspects of themselves in order to gain awareness and become their most authentic self. I am not the expert on your life which means we work as partners to achieve the desired goal.
I am Jean Harkreader (She/Her). As a counselor I work with a variety of difficulties including, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Grief, Bipolar, Neurodiversity, Relationships, and Gender Dysphoria. I am welcoming and accepting of all LGBTQIA+ (Queer) people and am accepting of kink and polyamorous relationships. I tend to work holistically in integrating understanding of our emotional, somatic, and cognitive experiences in our different areas of life in order to foster radical self-acceptance and self-compassion.
Do you find yourself worrying about things often? Have trouble making decisions or doing daily tasks because of worry or anxiety? Maybe there’s trauma in your past that is causing you to feel overly anxious and fearful about life. I want to help you work through your trauma and anxiety to break free from constant worry. I have worked with many adults and children of all ages, including inmates and those involved in the prison system. If you feel like your life is being consumed or controlled by anxiety, depression, trauma, or another struggle, I want to help you overcome these things.
When we work together, you get to decide what we work on. I’ll listen to your experiences and struggles and together we will create short-term and long-term goals to help you feel like yourself again. I like to focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) during our sessions.

I received my Master’s degree in Counseling from Grace College and Theological Seminary. I have worked extensively in community mental health with adolescents, adults, and families covering a wide variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, marital issues, family conflict, addictions, and anger management. I have experience in leading groups focused on substance abuse education and helping both the offenders and victims of domestic violence. My preferred method of therapy is Adlerian, which focuses on rapport, encouragement, building perspective and insight, discovering meaning and purpose, and eventually reorientation. I place an importance on building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients and hopes to help each individual find their true meaning and purpose in life.

You want healing from the past, and you may be struggling to see hope. You don’t believe that it’s possible to overcome the anxiety, depression, addiction, or trauma that affects you every day. I want to tell you that there is hope, and healing is attainable! I enjoy working with clients to help them find healing. I’m especially passionate about pairing evidence-based therapy with a Christian perspective. I believe God has designed us to interact with him, and our faith can have a huge impact on our mental health.
I became a therapist to know and support people in their difficult moments and because God was calling me to be a better listener. I have experience working with clients dealing with high-stress situations, addictions, substance use, and interpersonal conflict.

Hi, I’m Angelica M. Torres, a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate motivated by a passion for ending the stigma surrounding mental health in the Latinx community.
As a first-generation college student and daughter of Mexican immigrants, I firsthand understand the unique pressures and challenges faced by individuals trailblazing paths for themselves and their families. It's been my greatest honor to work with individuals sharing similar stories, providing them a space to feel seen and empowered on their journey towards growth and self-discovery.
I have experience working with children, teens, adolescents, adults, and couples to help them navigate stress, anxiety, depression, grief, communication, and much more.
Bilingualism isn’t just a skill; it’s a commitment to inclusivity. I'm proud to offer counseling in English and Spanish, ensuring language doesn't hinder access to the support you deserve.
I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in both individual and couples counseling. I have experience with anxiety, depression, ADHD, vocational counseling, trauma-based therapy, body dysmorphia, and couples counseling. These experiences have allowed me to help clients to improve their overall quality of life and build their confidence with regard to meeting life’s challenges.
As both a client and counselor, I know how important it is to be in therapy with someone you trust. I'd be honored to create a meaningful and insightful therapeutic relationship with you. I work with young adults and teens who strive to learn about things like depression, anxiety, authentic identity establishment, self-harm, suicide prevention, LGBTQ+ concerns, and more.
I counsel with a collaborative and existential approach. In other words, I use my genuine curiosity to learn about what gives your life meaning. While we're on this road together, you're in the driver's seat; I'll work alongside you to help utilize your strengths and find clarity as we look through the past, focus on the present, and head into the future.
I'm in awe of the unique strengths and differences people bring to sessions. I can't wait to see what makes you, you.
