Colleen E. Killian, MD, has been a physician in the field of obstetrics and gynecology at OB-GYN Associates of Marietta since 2013.

Dr. Killian graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. Dr. Tackitt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and his medical degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia. A global women's health advocate, Dr. Schapiro has practiced around the world. As a medical student, she wrote a paper comparing obstetric outcomes in a rural hospital in Kenya with a hospital in the Bronx, New York. As a Chief Resident, she published her original research on cervical cancer screening in Bali, Indonesia. More recently, she received the Caring for Congo Award from the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation for gynecologic surgery performed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.  Dr. Schapiro was the U.S. leader for Projet Myome and has been on three missions to the DRC helping women with fibroids and training local doctors. She has also trained physicians and birth attendants in Nepal.

A native of Kenya, Dr. Menya first moved to the United States when he was 22 years old. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Minnesota in 2003. He attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences from 2003-2007 and then graduated in 2009 from the Pikeville College of Osteopathic Medicine as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York, in 2013.

Dr. Menya administers care to women of all ages and backgrounds facing female reproductive and gynecologic issues. He aims to provide this specialized care with an evidence-based yet personalized approach, bridging the gap between each patient and their goals. Nicole Sparks, MD is an experienced certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist at the Howard Center. 

Dr. Sparks completed her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Florida State University in 2008. She continued at Florida State University to complete her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences in 2011. She received her Medical Doctor from the Florida State University College of Medicine in 2015. Her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency was completed at the Memorial Health University Medical Center in 2019.

Dr. Sparks truly has a passion for educating women about the importance of women’s health. She utilizes multiple social media platforms in efforts to share her extensive knowledge of the obstetrics and gynecology field. Dr. Howard is a native of Ashburn, Georgia. He studied medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, from which he graduated in 1992. He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology internship at Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, North Carolina. He also completed Anesthesia training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. 

In 1999, Dr. Howard became a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the year 2000. Dr. Kaylar Greer Howard studied Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, from where she graduated in 1992. She did an internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mountain Area Health Education Center which is part of Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina.

She also did anesthesia training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee and the Knoxville Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. She also completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee.

She became a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1999 and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the year 2000. Dr. Hooper was born in Baltimore, Maryland and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his Bachelor of Art in Chemistry from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 1981. In 1985, he received his Medical Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.He completed residency at Harbor Hospital in 1991. He then attended Kennesaw State University, graduating in 2001 with a Masters in Business of Administration.

Dr. Hooper also served in the United States Air Force, ranking as a Major and practicing obstetrics and gynecology. He also was a Professor at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Since 2015, he has served as an Obstetrics Hospitalist.

Nathan Mordel, MD, is a board-certified gynecological surgeon at Atlanta Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He specializes in advanced robotic, laparoscopic, vaginal pelvic surgery, including for fibroids, endometriosis, heavy and/or painful menstrual periods, pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary incontinence. 

Dr. Mordel received his medical training at Hadassah Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, graduating with a degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After coming to the United States, he completed a residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics and a fellowship in advanced pelvic surgery at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Dr. Mordel has been practicing in Tifton, Georgia, since July of 1998. In 2002, he came back to Atlanta, started AMIGS, and joined the Piedmont Hospital staff. In August 2011 and December 2015 he added Northside Hospital Duluth and Northside Hospital Atlanta, respectively, to his practice sites. He is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and he is a clinical assistant professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Emory University Medical School and Medical College of Georgia.
