Dr. Odette Limosnero believes that integrative medicine is the best path to true health. While most physicians treat only symptoms and disease, she strives to truly understand why the symptoms are occurring in the first place. She aims to treat her patients in the most natural, least harmful way possible, and only if needed resorts to prescription medications and surgery.
Dr. Limosnero struggled personally with skin and digestive issues, weight loss, and infertility. A regular yoga practice is what opened up her eyes to a new way of looking at health and how our physical bodies are connected to our mind and soul. Food was no longer just calories but a source of nourishment and vital energy. This approach to her own health was what helped her the most, and she now lives a healthier lifestyle and has two beautiful, healthy children.
In July 2015, she opened Roots Integrative Gynecology in Carrolton TX, 75010, to help other women benefit from a more holistic approach to women’s wellness and health care—the same type of holistic care that she found so helpful in her own life. She takes the time necessary to uncover and treat the underlying causes of women’s symptoms using methods learned in her fellowship in Integrative Medicine as well as the foundation of traditional medicine.
Dr. Limosnero grew up in San Francisco Bay Area. She went on to obtain her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of California at Davis. In 2000 she moved to Texas for residency training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Then in 2013 completed her fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine where she was trained under the guidance of Dr. Andrew Weil and Dr. Tieraona Low Dog. She found that several of the modalities were also helping in her own struggle with infertility.
