Dr. Meenu Jindal with Comprehensive Pediatric Care feels privileged to care for the children and adolescents in the areas of Dallas and Sunnyvale, Texas. Laurel Pediatric and Teen Medical Center is proud to announce that Dr. Ugonma (Ugo) Harriet Okparaocha has joined our practice. She is now available to see patients from newborn to age 20. 
 
Dr. Ugo is a graduate of University of Nigeria Enugu Campus, Enugu, Nigeria. She completed her residency training in Pediatrics at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn New York. She has been in medical practice for more than 20 years. She is Board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. 
 
She has worked in several clinical settings, including primary Pediatric care at the Appalachian Clinic located in Hazard, Kentucky, and various primary pediatric clinics in Maryland. She affiliated with University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. She is also currently one of the hospitalists rendering inpatient Pediatric care at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland.

My passion in caring for kids is derived from those children who see the world differently than their peers do, who learn uniquely, who develop according to their own pace, who experience their emotions at a deeper level. Although she is Canadian by birth, Dr. Lau grew up in Temple City, California and attended the University of California, Irvine where she majored in biological sciences. She subsequently found her way back to winter seasons and more than 100 inches of snow per year when she studied at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania.

After graduating from medical school, Dr. Lau completed her pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit from 2016 to 2019. In addition, she served a one year term as Chief Resident of her training program before joining Sierra Pacific Pediatrics in July of 2020. From well-child appointments to sick visits and everything in between, Dr. Lau’s passion for taking care of children shines through in her interactions with patients and families. She strives to be thorough and understanding to the needs of each child that comes through our doors. For annual physicals, Dr. Lau has a habit of asking her school-aged patients: “what do you want to be when you grow up?”. Loanne B. Tran, MD, MPH is a primary care physician who is in private practice serving patients in Arcadia and surrounding communities. She specializes in internal medicine and pediatrics and has built her practice around the concept of providing highly individualized care that focuses on the specific needs and goals of each patient.  She has a compassionate and caring bedside manner, and seeks to establish lasting relationships with all of her patients.

Dr. Tran received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. She went on to complete her Medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine.   She also earned a Master degree in Public Health and Tropical Medicine at Tulane School of Public Health in New Orleans. She did her residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the Los Angeles County - USC Medical Center where she also served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Loanne B. Tran has worked in a variety of medical settings, including research, urgent care, consulting work and emergency care.   Her passion, however, is in providing excellent primary care.  Dr. Tran is dedicated to her profession, passionate about patient care and is a strong advocate for her patients.
