I will always lead with the assumption that the most important person in the treatment room or gym, is not the provider, but the patient. I want to know about you; your interests, and your goals. After that comes a brief background on myself. I graduated from Lyndon Institute in Lyndonville Vermont, where I currently live with my family. I graduated with honors from the University of Vermont and was Captain of the Division 1 track and field program. I took a little time off to scour the medical landscape before accepting the call to be a Physical Therapist and graduated from UVM with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After cutting my teeth at an amazing outpatient clinic in St. Johnsbury Vermont for 9 years, I once again followed the call, and opened up Strong Oaks Physical Therapy. Every patient has a story and a journey. I will scour the whole kinetic chain to help clear all the physical barriers on that path. Good health does not END with Rehab, it STARTS with optimization!
“I go into Strong Oakes feeling not so good . When I am done with therapy I feel so much better about my ability to move and be able to function. I have had nothing but really good experiences coming in for help after surgeries. Very knowledgeable. Great communication skills...helps me to understand where I am at with my recovery. Very caring. I know that I am being well cared for and listened to. I highly recommend Dan Wheeler and his staff at Strong Oaks.”
