During this time, Dr. Cilento completed General Surgical Internship at the University of Washington, followed by his Residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery-University of Washington, and Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr Cilento became Chief of the Division of Facial and Plastic Reconstructive Surgery for the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS).
From 2011 to 2015, Dr. Cilento served as Locum Tenens at Skin Institute in Auckland, New Zealand. After returning to the United States, he began working at Texas Sinus and Snoring in 2017 as Staff Sinus and Facial Plastic Surgeon and continues to do so. He also serves as an Oral Examiner for the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
He is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, such as the Caste Connolly Top Doctor Award 2018 to present, American Heart Association Research Fellowship Award, Potsic Ferguson Award, and the Commanders Grant Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Cilento is an accomplished artist who works in pen, ink, pastels, and watercolors. He emphasizes an artist and balanced view toward surgery, patient interaction and life in general. His family completes his balanced world between work and home.
