Dr. Scott completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Scott completed her general surgery training at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut. During her residency she spent one year at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT researching possible treatments for inflammatory bowel disease.  To further her expertise, she enrolled in a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. 

A dedicated researcher, Dr. Scott has co-authored several papers published in prestigious medical journals. She is a frequent lecturer and presenter at academic and medical conferences. Dr. Scott is also a member of the New England Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons.  Dr. Scott is a clinical professor at the Frank Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.  

As a physician, Dr. Scott takes pride in offering her patients state-of-the-art treatments and techniques.  She continually strives to stay abreast of developments in colorectal surgical techniques including robotic surgery and transanal minimally invasive surgery.

Michael Renfrow, MD, FACS, brings more than 17 years of experience in general surgery to South Florida Surgical Group in Miami, Florida, serving men, women, and teens throughout Miami-Dade County.

Dr. Michael Renfrow is a board certified general surgeon, with fellowship specialization in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

Following residency, he pursued further specialized fellowship training, in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery in San Antonio, Texas, under the mentorship of Dr. Morris Franklin, professor emeritus at UT San Antonio.  Once he completed this specialized training, he returned to Miami, and has been serving the residents of Miami-Dade County, in his practice at South Florida Surgical Group, located at the Baptist Hospital Medical Arts Building at Baptist Hospital.

Dr. Renfrow is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  He has presented at numerous academic conferences and symposiums throughout the country.  He has served as a consultant for Intuitive Surgical Inc., where he has proctored surgeons that were in the process of learning robotic surgery. He also volunteers his time at the University of Miami, training and proctoring surgical residents in robotic procedures.

Dr. Renfrow is married with three beautiful daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family, and coaching his daughter’s basketball, volleyball, and soccer teams.

Xenophon P. Xenophontos, MD, FACS, FSVS, is a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon and founder of a state-of-the-art adult vascular medicine practice in Garden City, New York, in Nassau County. Dr. Xenophontos is dual board-certified in general and vascular surgery.

Dr. Xenophontos began his journey to his medical career as an undergraduate student at The City College of New York in New York City, where he graduated with distinction. Dr. Xenophontos earned his medical degree at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He rounded out his postdoctoral training with a surgery residency followed by a vascular surgery fellowship at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York. 

Dr. Xenophontos, who is fluent in English and Greek, is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the board of directors of the Brooklyn and Long Island Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.
