Dr. Quirk was born and raised in South Korea and immigrated to America as a young teen.  I’m pleased to introduce myself as the newest member of the Idaho Skin Institute team. I will be offering general dermatology and Mohs Micrographic surgery services at our Burley and Twin Falls locations. As a graduate of Minico High School, returning home to serve the people of southern Idaho is a great honor for me and my family.

After graduating from Brigham Young University I completed medical school at the University of Washington through the WWAMI program, with a strong focus on rural and community-based care. I stayed in Idaho for my medical internship at the Boise VA Medical Center before moving to central Wisconsin to complete my dermatology residency at the Marshfield Clinic—a rural health system that closely mirrors the patient population of southern Idaho.

Most recently, I completed a fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at the University of Missouri under the direction of Dr. Nkanyezi Ferguson. This robust, ACGME-accredited training program emphasized the management of high-risk skin cancers in medically complex patients, including those who are post-transplant. My training included multidisciplinary collaboration with otolaryngology, facial plastic surgery, oculoplastics, and oncology.

My clinical interests include:

Dr. Tran is originally from the St. Louis, Missouri, area. Growing up, he always wanted to be a physician. Right after high school, he was accepted into an Accelerated Combined Bachelor of Arts and Medical Degree program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Tran graduated with Honors from the program. He also received his board certification in emergency medicine from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

He practiced emergency medicine both in the military and the private sector. Dr. Tran is very proud of his service in the military as a Major in the United States Air Force. During his career in the Air Force, he served as Medical Director of the emergency medical service at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. Dr. Tran currently resides in Cary, North Carolina, with his wife and two daughters. His hobbies include photography, gardening, tennis, golf, and scuba diving.

Robert Bacigalupi, MD, FAAD, is proud to be the Director of MOHS Surgery at All Island Dermatology, Plastic Surgery and Laser Center, serving Glen Cove and Garden City, New York.

He is board-certified in dermatology and dermatologic surgery, and he specializes in general dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancer patients, and facial reconstruction. He also practices cosmetic surgery, including laser therapy and injectable neurotoxins and fillers.

Dr. Bacigalupi is a clinical instructor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai in New York City, where he previously completed his procedural dermatology fellowship. He received his medical degree from Tulane University’s School of Medicine, where he was honored with the Alpha Omega Alpha and the Oscar Creech Surgery Awards. He then served as chief resident at Tulane.

Dr. Bacigalupi stays active and interested in new research, and he’s authored many articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters, in both the medical and cosmetic dermatology fields.
